Gio's Pizza & Spaghetti House: Authentic Italian Cuisine in Metairie

The pizza was prepared quickly and was very good, 3 of us ate almost all of an extra large. The crust underneath could have been more done but that didnt stop us. Good personal salad with lots of goodies, recommend this place for sure.

We saw the reviews and decided this was going to be the best pizza choice in Santa Rosa. The menu has some wonderful specialty pizzas and the flavor combinations sounded amazing. We opted for a 1/2 Gios Garlic Supreme and 1/2 Polli's Perfect both were wonderful and we really liked the crust. My favorite was the Gios Garlic because the white sauce was amazing! The toppings are plentiful and fresh too! So many things to try on this menu if we lived in the area this would be our pizza place. They even bring real plates and silverware if you're eating in and they boxed up our left overs too! The owner was the one who served us and took our order and was attentive and refilled our waters too. If you're in the area and looking for pizza or pasta this should be your go to place. Great 12" sausage and olive pizza! Generous amount of topping, thin crust! To crisp up the crust when we got it home - threw it in a hot fry pan for a few minutes. Perfect!

I had read reviews on Sonoma Foodies that this was good pizza - and it was! Sauce was very flavorful and they are not skimpy on the toppings. I had read some complaints about the centers being a little soggy. It definitely wasn’t crispy -but the good outweighs the bad here. I’ll gladly put it in a pan to cook a little more if necessary bcus the pizza was so yummy!

I ordered several pizzas and salads for a training at my office and not only was it more affordable than other pizza places, the delivery was right on time (I didn't even know that was possible), the food was hot, and I received so many comments from colleagues about how much better it was than the pizza we have ordered from other restaurants in the past. They will be our new go-to place when we need pizza in the future! Thank you for a wonderful experience Gio's!

This coming from a very picky person when it comes to the quality and flavor of any restaurant foods...THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! PIZZA is delicious- perfect crust, perfect amount of sauce, and LOADS of toppings!! We tried 6 diferent ones- all delicious. Pasta also very good, had the chicken fettuccine alfredo- the sauce was so flavorful!! Caesar salad so so good-had the yummiest croutons. I forgot to mention how FAST we received our food. Very impressive! Service was above and beyond- we were welcomed with a smile. Everyone was very kind and accommodating. Dining room could use a little zhuzhing up but atmosphere was soon forgotten when we started eating! YUM!! We will DEFINITELY be coming back!!

This is a simple place. Nothing fancy and not trying to be trendy, novel, or cliche on any front. This place struck me as just one of those great places you sometimes find where the service, the food, the aromas, the vibe, all collide in a great way. Stepping through the threshold I was met with the aroma of the cooking of bread (pizza crust in this case) and it smelled really great. Next I was met by Aldin (not sure that's the right spelling) and he was welcoming and friendly. Ordered our pizza and salad and then took a seat. After a few minutes Aldin delivered a beautiful salad and two plates. The salad was a great size, seemed fresh, and was displayed really nicely. The Bleu cheese dressing was really great At the perfect time our pizza arrived and it was also really looking great. I'll tell you, I'm 61 and I've never received a pizza at my table that was steaming. Even after several minutes this thing was still steaming. I loved that. We finished the last bites of salad and dug in to this pizza. Wow! Really great tastes. The meats were good, the produce was colorful and fresh. The toppings used seemed to be high quality! The sauce was flavorful and the crust was really great. Light, the right amount of chewiness, and tasty. Aldin checked on us and then we engaged in some great conversation. His zest for life and for relating to people was abundantly evident. It really complimented the whole experience. Aldin was authentic and even though he was "at work" he seemed to be glad he was there. That was the vibe he oozed! We are from out of the area, but if we visit again we'd definitely come back. Highly recommend this spot for straightforward food in an unassuming environment crafted by hands of people that seem genuinely interested in your satisfaction.

We ordered takeout pepperoni, sausage and bacon pizza. Was excellent! Crust is not too thin or thick and had that great slightly blackened in places flavor. Plenty of toppings and red sauce is tasty!
